Bizarre Coffee: Downtown Canton's Locally-Roasted Gem

Discover Bizarre Coffee in historic downtown Canton—where locally-roasted beans meet creative seasonal drinks and a funky, welcoming vibe.
A Canton Original with Serious Coffee Credentials
Nestled inside a historic building at 121 E. Marietta Street in the heart of downtown Canton, Bizarre Coffee is where this beloved local roaster got its start. With a 4.8-star rating and hundreds of glowing reviews, this tiny shop has become a cornerstone of Canton's coffee culture—proof that great things really do come in small packages.
Walk in and you're greeted by the aroma of freshly roasted coffee, vibrant artwork on the walls (courtesy of the owner), and a genuine sense of community. It's the kind of place where baristas learn your order by heart and every visit feels a little like coming home.
What to Order at Bizarre Coffee
Bizarre Coffee roasts their own beans in small batches, and it shows. Their house coffee is rich and complex, perfect for purists who want a straight-up excellent cup. But where Bizarre really shines is in their inventive seasonal menu—think creative flavor combinations you won't find anywhere else.
Locals rave about the iced apple pie chai (ask for it—it's a secret menu item), the breakfast sammie served on a flaky croissant, and seasonal standouts like the Jaffa mocha, which pairs orange and chocolate in a surprisingly delicious way. If you're visiting in spring, keep an eye out for the Wild Blueberry latte. The Honey Nut Latte and even a Froot Loops-inspired drink have made appearances on past menus, showcasing the shop's playful, anything-goes creativity.
Hungry? The breakfast burrito is generously sized and packed with flavor, and Bob's Bagel—bacon, egg, and cheddar on your choice of plain, everything, or jalapeño cheddar bagel—is a fan favorite. They also offer gluten-free bread and are knowledgeable about cross-contamination, making it a welcoming spot for all dietary needs. Don't sleep on the acai bowls and avocado toast, either.
The Vibe and the Space
Bizarre Coffee's Canton location is cozy and compact, with just a few tables inside, a hidden nook upstairs, and outdoor seating complete with a walk-up window. The intimate size means it can get busy during peak hours, but that's part of the charm—it's a gathering spot, a place where neighbors run into each other and new friendships start over lattes.
Parking is easy and free in downtown Canton. You'll find street parking all around, plus a main parking deck and several public lots just a short walk from the shop. The atmosphere is casual, funky, and undeniably welcoming—equal parts coffee haven and community hub.

If you love Bizarre Coffee and have been wanting to try their coffee beans yourself at home, this one's for you. As your local Canton Coffee correspondent, I have actually tried a bunch of them and wanted to rank a few of my favorites for you. My number one is the espresso blend. It has the same espresso they use in shop, and Bizarre describes it as a medium roast made from Brazilian and Honduran beans with notes of caramel, apple, and almond. I'm not that fancy, so I don't taste all of those, but it does have a smooth, balanced flavor that works well for me for my at-home lattes where I just add a little brown sugar. My number two is Brazil. This was my favorite before we started trying the espresso beans and it's one of their best sellers. They describe it as having tasting notes of caramel, chocolate, and nuttiness, and it makes it very easy everyday coffee. My number three is Soulful, and I like this one okay, but I feel like the Brazil has a better flavor for my at-home lattes, so I only order this one if the others are out of stock. And then finally, sadly, fourth on this list for me is Tropics. It's a dark roast blend with chocolate, caramel, and sweetness, and honestly, this is actually one of my top two favorites, but my husband doesn't like dark roast, so this one falls lower for us in our house.
